I will never stop liking this genre.

NOTE: This contains TOO much information that might spread your butthurt in. 

Romance is a perfect type of love in the real world and in fictional settings (especially in fanfiction and love stories) and I really like romance. Romance is beautiful and fluffy, hence my love for pairings and such.

I really support romance. That's why I like pairings and anime like Sword Art Online (even the things that are aside from romance) and Chunibyo and I enjoy it as long as it's good to me.

But you know what's not beautiful, people hating it because of things that are against, such as Sword Art Online, Naruto (mostly The Last and Chapter 700), shipping in general, etc. And It just baffles me.

First let me recap about the things I have mentioned:

The Naruto ending (the manga that is) isn't that bad, it's not perfect, but doesn't mean the ending sucked because of other things besides the pairings (mostly SasuSaku and NaruHina) such as Naruto having his dream come true and become Hokage. I find NaruHina to be better than NaruSaku because Hinata be like: "Am I the only one who likes the kid who has a nine-tailed monster?".

And unlike Sakura, she doesn't abuse Naruto a lot or call him an idiot. She just watches him and his confidence and perseverance changed what she is. The best part is, Hinata confessed FOR REAL STRAIGHT UP that she loved him from the start when she is going to protect him and kick Pain's ass on the Invasion arc. She became stronger as she loved Naruto no matter what. (Hence why the whole Just like Me part that Kushina said was meaning to love someone unconditionally, not the whole "UHH SAKRA IS LIEK KUSHINAH CUZ PERSONA ND SCRENTAIM NARSAK FTW HURR DURR") IMHO, Her confession is better than Sakura's "confession", which the latter is debunked thanks to the protagonist and the fact that he hates dishonest people.

And The Last is a love story about my OTP and how it became canon before the final chapter. And it's canon to the storyline of the manga, unlike Road to Ninja. Kishimoto's own Braniel is canon and they have 2 babies. I didn't get to see it, but I love how it is canon. I was so happy. (DVD RELEASE PLZ)

Sword Art Online was another action romance show I enjoyed (which I have to watch the remaining 6 episodes of Season 2) mostly because of Kirito x Asuna, but besides that, I like it also for the action and the impact in technology IRL. (for example the Virtual Reality thing such as Oculus Rift and Samsung Gear) But it was sort of the only romance anime I have enjoyed before watching Chunibyo.

Shipping, I don't mind, as long as I have my OTP's (Such as Twijack and Naruhina) and my favorite but not-so-OTP ones (SpikeBelle and BraeShy), and I don't mind the ones who aren't my cup of tea. (Such as Flashlight). And no, I don't really wanna talk about the ships I hate. (Such as DunGwen and Rarijack)

All of those things are pretty fluffy, beautiful and amazing. But I have seen a majority of people who hate all things I have mentioned.

People hate shipping because it's not canon and other types of things, such as people NOT paying attention at something important in a single story in every media, as well as people hating every single pairing. People hate Sword Art Online because it's popular and it's rushed. As much as I blame the lack of Story Editor/Series Composer because of the Seven Days War team, I find the hatred towards SAO anger worthy.

And don't get me started on the Chapter 700/The Last controversy the Naruto fandom has ever since NaruHina/SasuSaku/ShikaTema/SaiIno/ChoKarui were canon. Because of the NaruSaku fandom (mostly the fantards and not the sane ones who are also Pro-Hinata) made a lot of fans hate all pairings because of the shipping war and hated both the Ending and the recently released movie.

In my opinion, they are all not that bad. But it still baffles me because It makes me think that there isn't any romance anime that isn't hated like SAO/The Last Naruto was by many people. (If there were any, please recommend in the comments.)

But again, I love romance. I am a sucker for it, as long as it's very good for me or it's well handled.

My apologies if this pissed you off because I mentioned things related to romance and the fact that people hate these is making me mad as hell.
