That's not to say all comic book adaptations are critically successful, like Fant4stic, X-Men Origins: Wolverine, Batman V Superman, and other comic book adaptations that failed to please critics and audiences, even fans.

But does everything from a doodle, manga, anime, light novel or western comic book or animation need to be necessarily adapted into an animated movie?

Most people (with the exception of accuracy-obsessed comic book fantards) liked the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and THAT was live-action, even if it's not accurate to the comic books. Same thing with Christopher Nolan's Batman trilogy, even though Rises was a good kind of trainwreck but it ain't bad, and Scott Pilgrim vs. The World. And Watchmen, most people liked it before Zack Snyder was getting hate, and it was accurate to the comics.

Also, Rurouni Kenshin got a live action movie and after its release people praised the film, and it wasn't an anime reboot film series, it was a live-action realistic samurai action flick adapted from Nobuhiro Watsuki's manga.

Unlike Attack on Titan and other live-action films of manga, novels and anime made in Japan, RK gets praised. And Edge of Tomorrow was based on a Japanese light novel and most people lauded the film for it, unlike films like Jem and the Holograms, Dragonball Evolution, Yogi Bear, Scooby Doo, and the Last Airbender.

Again, does every adaptation of an animated thing stay necessarily animated? (Even though I wanted the MLP movie to be animated, which it is thank god. Animals who are anthromorphic can stay animated if they are the focus of what it is based on unless the humans and animals and/or objects communicate. Yeah, sorry for contradiction.)
